By using Kiome’s website, you have agreed to the terms and conditions outlined below. If you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions do not use this site or our services.
Introduction/Purpose
Kiome Wellness Group is dedicated to providing every patient with a holistic, transparent and effective therapy service. To allow for Kiome Wellness Group to achieve this goal we have listed below the essential terms and policies consistent with these standards within our individual practice locations and as a wider company.
Our policies aim to facilitate equality of service to all patients and it is by no means our intention to exclude any individual from being able to access our services. Further clarification can be sought if wording within this policy document is unclear by emailing admin@kiome.au.
Website/Social Media/Online Content
- Any and all information that is obtained from Kiome Wellness Group’s website, social media accounts such as facebook, instagram and twitter, youtube or any other online interface of the company (i.e online platforms); is that of a general nature and is not designed or intended to treat, diagnose, prevent or otherwise be perceived as individualised treatment to anyone accessing its content.
- Any injury, illness or otherwise adverse outcome as a result of implementing educational resources or content on Kiome Wellness Group’s online presence is not the responsibility or fault of Kiome Wellness Group. Individualised treatment, diagnosis and management is provided by accessing one of Kiome Wellness Group services rather than self-treating, diagnosis or other wise managing an individuals injury, illness or other health and wellness complaint from educational resources displayed within Kiome Wellness Group’s online platforms.
- In the course of accessing Kiome Wellness Group’s online platform’s, you may be directed or finding information and illustrations of a health, wellness and medical nature that individuals may find offensive as being sexually explicit. If this may be the case, please do not use any of Kiome Wellness Group’s online platforms. Please note: Kiome Wellness Group will not ever display or direct users of its online platforms to sources which would be reasonably deemed as pornographic or sexually explicit. However, the nature of healthcare and medical services on occasion involves discussing body regions to better inform an evidence-based healthcare experience, which some may find offensive.
- Please note: At Kiome Wellness Group we always advocate for individualised health and wellness advice and care from a healthcare professional relevent to the field in which you are seeking assistance (i.e. physiotherapist for low back pain).
Referrals
- Private fee patients; a medical referral is NOT required to see one of our health or wellness practitioners
- If a referral has been provided or if a treating health practitioner wishes to refer, please ensure this is provided to the treating health practitioner, to assist in the continuity of care at the time of your review or before hand if convenient to do so.
- Patients who are eligible for Compulsory Third Party (CTP), Workcover or Medicare funding must provide a medical referral for treatment, as part of their claims process. However, there are certain other conditions that must be met before bulk billing can be arranged.
- clients issued with Gold / White cards from the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) maybe eligible for subsidised treatment when presenting with an appropriate medical referral, within the previous six months (in accordance with current DVA policy).
Billing & Accounts
- it is expected that fees for services are paid at the time of consultation; however we can provide 21 days for invoice payment if required by the individual; if a company or third party is providing the remuneration delayed invoice payment is standard and these circumstances will have and must be discussed and agreed upon by the director of Kiome Wellness Group prior to implementing any service delivery to that referrer, business or company.
- we accept cash, EFTPOS, credit cards, EFT and for subscription models (direct debit).
- if you have private health insurance, please bring your membership card to enable an immediate rebate for your convenience.
- at the end of each month, a fully itemised account will be issued, with payment terms being strictly 7 days. Failure to render full payment within these terms will result in your account being referred to our debt collecting agency. Any additional costs incurred will be added to your account.
Cancellation Policy
- a 24 hour cancellation policy does apply to your consultation appointment times when in a physical location or face to face review; a 6 hour cancellation policy exists for virtual or online consultations. Failure to provide 24 hours notice (in person) or 12 hours notice (online) when changing appointments will result in a 80% fee of your planned normal consultation fees.
- if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, the practice will, when able, provide you with an alternative appointment time on your scheduled day of service, so as to avoid a cancellation fee being charged; if the appointment is able to be rescheduled within 7 days of the appointment then no cancellation fee will be charged.
Late & Missed Appointments
- clients arriving late to an appointment, but within their appointed time slot, may receive a shorter consultation in an effort not to inconvenience other client’s waiting.
- clients who either arrive late, or miss an entire appointment, will be charged the full consultation fee.
Workers Compensation Claims
- clients who believe they are eligible for Workcover Funding must ensure they satisfy the following criteria before requesting bulk billing:
- the injury occurred directly in relation to their current gainful employment.
- the injury has been reported to their employer and all necessary internal paperwork has been completed.
- you have seen an appropriate medical officer (general practitioner, sports physician, orthopedic surgeon) and have been referred to physiotherapy or another allied health services provided by Kiome Wellness Group.
- at your initial consultation, please present the following to our administration or therapy staff:
- a referral from your medical officer
- employer’s name and contact details
- your employers insurance company name
- your insurance claim number (if it has been provided)
- in the case of Workcover / CTP claims, the individual client will always be ultimately responsible for payment of all accounts, in the event the involved Insurer does not accept financial liability for our services provided.
- we reserve the right to discontinue providing treatment through Workcover / CTP funding if we feel a claimant is acting fraudulently or demonstrating non-compliance.
Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Claims
- clients who believe they are eligible for Compulsory Third Party Insurance funding must ensure they satisfy the following criteria before requesting bulk billing:
- the injury occurred directly in relation to a motor vehicle accident.
- the injury has been reported to the police and all necessary paperwork has been completed.
- you have seen an appropriate medical officer (general practitioner, sports physician, orthopedic surgeon).
- a claim number has been issued to you by the involved insurance company.
- at your initial consultation, please present the following to our administration staff:
- a referral form from your medical officer.
- your CTP Insurance company name and the claim number that has been provided to you.
- the individual client will be required to pay all consultation fees involved until the claimant has been issued and verified by the relevant CTP insurance company.
- we reserve the right to discontinue providing treatment through Workcover / CTP funding if we feel a claimant is acting either fraudulently or demonstrating non-compliance.
Privacy Policy
Kiome Wellness Group’s Privacy Policy Statement is available on our website in full detail, with our practice bound by the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act (1998) and the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act (1998) and Health Records and Information Privacy Act (2002) and operates in accordance with the Code of Conduct of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
